This year I decided to do something a little different. I invited Santa into my studio to not just do photos with the kids but hang out with them. Each child/family had 20 minutes with the big guy. They made a craft, read a story, played or just hung out. It was great. It really eased the fear for some kids and to see how excited they were really warmed my heart. Even Santa loved the idea and looks forward to next year.

this lucky little fella had his mom, grandma and great grandma at his photo shoot. Lots of love to be had here. He was so adorable with all his thick dark hair. He and I battled it out in the beginning but in the end I won and we got some great sleeping shots :)
These two little guys might have had a rough start, arriving 3 months early, but you wouldn't know it now. They were pretty darn good for their newborn session even though they were already 3 months old. They took turn sleeping most of the session but we were still able to capture a couple photos of them sleeping together. Such sweet little things.
Can't believe a year has flown by since this little guy first came to me as a sweet little newborn with a head full of dark brown hair. He's such a handsome fella. We took advantage of a dry day and captured some Fall color with his parents before heading to the studio for his Cake Smash session.
I was so excited to hear that Carrie and Jason were expecting another addition. I first met them when they were expecting their first baby and have been photographing each of their little girls milestones since. Now they were expecting a little boy. How perfect! Little Miss Lila loved helping me photograph her parents as well as having some fun in the leaves. What a great session.
Sweet baby Everlee is the 4th and final addition to this lovely family. I've watched this family grow over the last couple of years and it's been such a joy. Their kids are so adorable and full of character. Big sister loves to assist me with posing, brother loves caring for his two little sisters, little sister is the most protective 2 year old I've ever seen to a newborn and then there's sweet Everlee with her pretty blue eyes. Such a lucky family full of so much love.
When I was contacted by Meggan to photograph her and her baby I was a bit nervous. She's a photographer that recently relocated here from Arizona. Photographing another photographer always makes me nervous. When they came to the studio I was instantly relaxed. Meggan is so much fun to work with and her baby is just adorable and full of personality. As I photographed the two of them together I wished I had done this with my kids when they were babies. Watching Meggan and her son and the love and bond between each other was the sweetest thing. It's moments like this we need to capture and cherish forever. I promise you'll never regret it. You'll regret not having them because of your insecurities, not enough time etc.
It has been so much fun to watch Kasen grow, just like is big brother Wes. These two boys are so darn handsome! Such lucky parents. Those big brown eyes will certainly charm anyone :)
