A Baby Is Born {Seattle, Washington Birth Photographer}

At 11:35 pm last Saturday my cell phone rang. It was Lauren to tell me it was time for their baby to make it's arrival. Lauren and her husband were going to have an at home water birth. I arrived at 12:35 am.
When I walked in I knew I better hurry as I could tell Lauren was going through transition already. Her midwife, Dr.Chenelle Roberts, was so amazing. Hearing her talk even made me relax. Lauren moved to the tub, and just in time. There newest edition made it's arrival at 1:01am. It was the most beautiful birth I have witnessed. Lauren was so brave and strong. Her little baby was a chubby little thing weighing in at 9lbs 12oz. Congratulations Lauren and Gabriel!

I first met Paysen's parents at their Matenity Session. Her parents brought her into the studio when she was 4 days old. I really adore this family and you can see how much they love their baby girl.

I made the gorgeous drive out to Oak Harbor a little over a week ago. Deanna had her baby boy and it was time for his photo shoot. Keaton was the sweetest little thing. His big sister was also there to help and such a good girl while I photographed her brother.

This beautiful family came to the studio a couple of weeks ago. They are just the sweetest! I had met them 2 weeks prior when they hired me to do their Maternity, Birth and Newborn photos. This was a surprise baby and they were going to have it at home with a midwife.

There sweet baby came 2 days ago. I was there to capture every amazing moment of it. I'm not telling what they had though, stay tuned for their Birth post :)

I met baby Logan when he was just a few hours old. His parents had me come do a "Welcome Baby" session. This is a life-style type session done with in the first 48 hours of your baby's birth. This session was extra special for me. Logan's mamma and I have known each other for about 15 years. Our parents dated each other a long time. This is even more special because Logan's parents were together for TEN years when they finally married and created a honey-moon baby. PERFECTION!

This little girl had a bit of a rough start to life but she is a happy and healthy little thing now. She preferred to stay awake for the beginning of the session but persistence paid off and we got some beautiful images.

I've known Julia for about 8 years. I just can not believe that she is now a young woman and preparing to graduate high school. We headed out to Index, Washington where her grandparents live. It is SO beautiful out there. What a fun session!
