Typically newborn sessions are done when the precious bundle of joy is less then 14 days old. Babies this age usually sleep better and are more "pose-able." This adorable little guy came to the studio at 5 weeks old. He was a dream! We started with some nice wide awake shots and after sometime he went to sleep and even let me pose him. At 5 weeks old and 10 1/2 pounds he's not quite as smooshy as a 7 day old but he did fantastic. What a little ham!

This adorable guy is turning one. His parents decided to do one of my favorite sessions, Cake Smash!! We start with some more "traditional" photos and move on to some yummy messy fun. Caleb wasn't so sure about all the new flavors and textures but he amused us and played with his cake a little bit.
I got to see baby Finn again. He came to the studio along with his Mom, Dad and big brother Liam. When I last saw him he was just a couple hours old. Today he looked so good and squishy. He's my biggest newborn to photograph and was such a rock star! He joins 2 big sisters and 1 big brother and completes this beautiful family.
These little cuties are 2 weeks a part in age and are BFF's. They weren't too interested in having their photos taken but overall, I think we did pretty good.
Give Shane 100 candy hearts and he'll be as cooperative as can be :) I am so pleased at how these turned out. Boy do I love my babies!! My mother was hassling me about not having any photos of my kids on her wall and how terrible that is since their own mom is a photographer. Mom, prints will be here Monday. Happy Valentine's Day!
I had this beautiful 14 day old newborn girl in studio last week. She was such a little peanut. We started the session with some great wide eyed photos and then she drifted off to sleep for some precious sleepy baby photos.
This family won a photo session I had donated to a US Navy dinner. I had heard the family who won was expecting a little one. I was so excited when they contacted me a week ago to photography their newborn son. This little guy wanted to have his eyes on us at all times. I was surprised a 14 day old baby could stay awake for 3 hours straight. He was so cute in all of his chubbiness.
Photographing 2 year old's might be the hardest thing to do. My little guy Shane is may be one of the HARDEST 2 year old's I have photographed. Today he and I made a deal. He could play with his little girlfriend Eliana if I could do his photos to try out my new backdrop. SUCCESS!!! I love him so much and dang he sure is adorable! Oh, and my new backdrop, I love it ;)
